Howard Dobbs, 84, died March 6, 2005.
A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late Thomas and Hulda Barnett Dobbs, and the widower of Mary Frances Fitzpatrick Dobbs. He was recently preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Compton of Comer and Thomas ìRedî Dobbs of Danielsville. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Interment will be in Ila Cemetery.
Survivors include three children, Elaine James of Athens, James Dobbs of Cleveland, and Wanda Loggins of Ila; two sisters, Lula Hart of Sandy Cross and Annette Thomas of Comer; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
