Bogart - Horace Ray Hardigree, 86, died December 18, 2005.
A native and lifelong resident of Oconee County, he was the son of the late E.O. and Vinnie Wortham Hardigree and was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ervin, Dennis and Floyce Hardigree. Mr. Hardigree was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, having served in the South Pacific and receiving the Purple Heart. He was a member of Woodmen of the World.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 3:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with Rev. Frank Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Freeman Hardigree; 2 sons and daughter in law, Ricky and Janice Hardigree of Bogart and Mike Hardigree of Athens; 2 sisters, Doris Barber of Winder and Sue Payne of Bogart; 5 grandchildren, Amy and Scott Aycock, Adam Hardigree, Melissa Hardigree, Joseph Hardigree and Jessica Hardigree; 2 great grandchildren, Camden and Ashton Aycock.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
Lord and Stephens, WEST is in charge of arrangements.
