Chris Giddens

Hewlett Christopher Giddens passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, and went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Roxanne Elaine Giddens.

Chris was born on July 9, 1968, and was raised in Oconee County, Georgia, by his father, Harold Hewlett Giddens, and his mother, Sylvia Ann Ivy. Chris attended Oconee County High School and completed his electrical degree at Athens Technical College. Chris established his own business, Giddens Electric. Through hard work and dedication, he built a successful company while pursuing his passion for electrical work—a career he truly loved.

A devoted family man, Chris was known for his kind heart, warm spirit, and genuine love for being around people. He lived life fully and found joy when camping, hunting, and fishing. He loved classic rock music and could often be found sharing stories and laughter as he told tales from his favorite memories. Chris was also a generous man who willingly helped those in need whenever he could. Above all, he deeply loved his wife and daughter, holding them close in his heart throughout his life.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Emily Marie Giddens, of Peachtree City, Georgia; her wife, Amber; their children, Zoe and Mia. His older brother, Harold Eric Giddens, of Watkinsville, Georgia. His nieces: Amber Lynn Brudon and Elizabeth Danielle Dunaway. His great-nephew: Jonah Thomas Lyle.

Chris will be remembered for his generosity, storytelling, and the lasting impact he made on his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 3pm at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, Georgia.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
