Hull - Herbert John Bennett, 77, died Monday, November 1, 2010 at Comer Nursing Home.
Born in Canada, he was the son of the late John Bennett and Eliza Jane Willis Bennett. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church where he was an active member of the Men's Brotherhood. He retired from the University of Georgia from the maintenance department and security.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Carter Bennett; step daughter: Donna Doolittle of Colbert and grandchildren: Tiffany Nadeau and Brandon Doolittle.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
