Henry Russell Mize, Jr.

Henry Russell "Rusty" Mize, Jr., 59, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Rusty grew up in Gwinnett County but has lived in Madison County for the past 20 years. He was the son of Henry Russell Mize, Sr. and Violet Jean Bishop Mize Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Mize Hill. 

He is survived by two sisters, Angela Wagley and Christeen Guffey; his wife, Tammy Seymour Mize; daughter, Ellie Mize Regan and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Rusty had a love for Corvettes and he sold many along with many other cars over the years. Rusty worked as a painter for over 35 years and enjoyed his painting business tremendously doing both residential and commercial painting. He was an extremely good painter. Rusty loved his friends and family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held on July 5th, 2026 at 11:00 am at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth.
