Helen Willey

Frances Helen Rogers Willey, 89, of Athens, died June 30, 2023.

Helen was born in Athens and was the daughter of the late Frank Rogers and Sarah Rogers. She was the wife of the late Colonel Donald Willey, US Army for 30 years. They both were active member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Monty E. (Renee) Willey of Las Vegas and Stan W. (Wendy) Willey of Monroe; sister, Joyce Jones of Stone Mountain; grandchildren, Heather, Melissa, Steven, Samantha and Donnie; great grandchildren, Haley, Will, Caleb, Caitlyn, Ellie, Demetri, Pollyann, Abby, Lilly, Henry and Lucas and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
