Sharon Brown Hodges

Sharon Brown Hodges, 80, of Winterville, Georgia, passed away on December 14, 2025.

Sharon was born on May 29, 1945, in Comer, Georgia, to Albert Mercier “Sport” Brown and Ella Kate Brown. She was known throughout her life for her deep love of horses, especially her beloved Flash. A true “do-it-yourself” spirit, Sharon took pride in caring for her home and yard. Even in her later years, she could often be found outside working diligently, always determined and independent. 

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Tracy Fortson; her granddaughter, Elise Martin (Ryan); and her two great-granddaughters, Adalea and Emmie. She is also survived by her sister, Kay Baker (Tommy), her brother, William “Pete” Brown, and several nieces and nephews. 

Along with her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Sara Evelyn Temple.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
