Hardy "Gene" Eugene Darley

Mr. Hardy Eugene Darley, 80, of Watkinsville, died August 31 in Athens. Born in Ocee, Fl., he had lived in Oconee County for the past fifty two years.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years Mrs. Viola Jean Darley, two sons Clayton and Jeff, and daughter Paula, brother Wallace and five grandchildren. Eugene retired from Athens Clark County and was a long time member of Anitoch Christian Church. A Private family graveside service will be held at Hardigree Cemetery. The family asks for donations to the charity of his choice in leu of flowers.  A special thank you to the caregivers and staff at Saint Mary's Hospice for wonderful care.
