Gwendolyn B. Carson

Gwendolyn B. Carson, 89, of Bogart, died October 24, 2023.

Born July 5, 1934 in Barrow County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Herman and Imma Logan Brooks and widow of Emory “Bud” Carson.  Gwendolyn was a longtime employee of General Time/Westclox and was a volunteer with St. Mary’s Hospice.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include three children: Teresa Williams (Buck) of Watkinsville, Darrell Sosbee (Beverly) of Athens and Johnny Carson (Amy) of Athens; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, EAST, Saturday, October 28, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM.  Memorial services will follow in the chapel at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Matt Dibler and Rev. Charles Jones officiating.  Interment will be at Athens Memory Gardens.

Flowers are optional.  Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1975 GA Highway 82, Statham, GA 30666.
