Guy W. Lowe

Guy W. Lowe, 80, of Arnoldsville, husband of the late Carolyn W. Lowe, passed away on July 26, 2025. Born in Athens, Georgia, he was the son of the late Pearl and Nell Lowe of Winterville. Mr. Lowe retired from the University of Georgia after 37 years. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Lowe, Sisters, Thelma Wilson, and Collen Lowe. Survivors include sons; Timothy W. Lowe Sr, Crawford, Travis D. Lowe (Lisa), Arnoldsville, grandson, Timothy W. Lowe Jr (Emily), granddaughter, Cassidy A. Lowe, Arnoldsville, great-grandchildren, Rhett D. Lowe, and Wyatt H. Lowe, a brother, Tony Lowe (Lorrie), Winterville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens, on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 11am-1pm, followed by a private burial at Corinth Baptist Church.
