Gloria Johnson Green

Gloria Johnson Green, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at the age of 86.

A lifelong resident of the Athens area, she was a daughter of the late Cloyce Johnson and Mildred Wood Johnson. Mrs. Gloria was a dedicated employee at her family’s business, Frances Florist, for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker, avid gardener and a dedicated fan of NASCAR and UGA football. Most importantly, she thrived on time spent with her family and her beloved cat, Callie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Green.

Survivors include her children, Gena Parham (Steve Cawley) and Gordon Gilreath (Lisa Stringer); brother, Freddie Johnson (Vickey); grandchildren, Chase Parham (Megan), Garrett Gilreath and Grayson Gilreath and great-grandchild, Paisley Parham.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Hull Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, 1888 Colbert-Danielsville Road, Danielsville, GA 30633.
