Glen Holbert Graves, 58, of Statham, GA passed away on August 18th, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Julie Proctor Graves, and their daughter Delaney Graves (Devyn Cloninger).

He grew up in Medina, TN. He was a graduate of Northside High School in 1985 and The University of Memphis with his Bachelor’s degree in Finance in 1989. From graduation, he began working at Ford Credit in Memphis in 1989. He continued to work for Ford for 33.5 years, holding 16 different positions across 5 states. He took pride in his work and loved mentoring and leading others throughout his career.

After retiring from Ford, he began working at Akins Ford in Winder, GA as the Chief Financial Officer. In 2025, Akins Ford was the #1 Ford dealership for total sales volume. He was so proud of that accomplishment.

Glen was an avid runner, enjoyed golf, and recently took up pickleball. He was a sports enthusiast, extremely competitive, and was up for any physical challenge. He helped inspire a love of running in Delaney as well. He loved training with and cheering for her while she ran Cross Country.

Glen was the life of every party and never met a stranger. He loved listening to live music, especially country music.

He was a wonderful, well-respected husband, father, son, brother, colleague and friend to many. He will long be remembered as a snazzy dresser as he took pride in being the best dressed at every occasion.

He is also survived by his siblings Jennifer (Bruce) Stinson, Jayne Ann (Leo) Serrano, and Daniel Graves, and his beloved niece and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Martha Graves.

A celebration of life service will be held at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home WEST at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 29th. The family will receive friends directly after the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Extra Special People or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
