Gladys Dover

Gladys Dove, 97, of Carlton, passed away on July 6, 2026. Born on June 15, 1929 she was the daughter of the late David Bingham and Rose Lee Bingham.

Those who had the privilege of knowing her will remember her loving nature, her kindness to those around her, and her straightforward manner. All of her grandchildren felt very blessed to have her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bennie Peterman; son, Dale Peterman; siblings, Henry Bingham, Dave Bingham, Lily Youngblood, Essie Netuschil.

Survivors include her daughters, Betty Melancon (Bobby), Gail Mason (Reese); siblings, Emma Davis, Judy Richardson, Katherine Davis; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on July 9, 2026. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes Danielsville, located at 963 Highway 98 E, Danielsville, GA 30633. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be held at Colbert City Cemetery on Joe Barton Drive, Colbert, GA 30628.

The family would like to thank the staff at Quiet Oaks Health Care facility in Crawford, Georgia for their exceptional care for Ms. Gladys. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Glady's honor may be made to the Quiet Oaks Angel Fund at P.O. Box 613 Crawford, GA 30630.
