Gerry Wayne Olson, 74, of Carlton, died on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
Born in Virginia to Luther and Katie Olson, Gerry served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He later moved to the Athens area, where he worked as an electrician at Lucent Technologies. He was a member at Cornerstone Church in Athens and enjoyed woodworking.
Along with his parents, Gerry was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Hood.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Phaup Olson; five children: Mark Loving, Julie Mullinax, Jennifer Farias, Stephen Loving, and Mike Olson; a sister, Kathy Williams; nineteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
