Gerald Thomas Brunson Sr., 86, of Colbert, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
Born in Camden, South Carolina, he was a son of the late William Thomas Brunson and Helen Louise Hinson Lane. Gerald was a Veteran of both the United States Army and the United States Navy. He retired from the University of Georgia Maintenance Department and served for a number of years as the Minister of Collier Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Brunson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim Brunson (Tracie) and Gerald Brunson (Andrea) and five grandchildren, Cameron (Alison), Luke, Bryce, Lindsey (Austin) and Cara.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens.
