Franklin Dean "Frank" Savage was born on July 11, 1950, in Oconee County, Georgia. He passed away on May 4, 2026. Frank lived a full life and was known for his love of the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing whenever he could. He was also a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, always cheering for his team with great enthusiasm.
Frank dedicated many years of his life to working at Athens Regional Medical Center, from which he retired. His commitment to his career was an important part of who he was.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy T. Savage, and his, Amanda Savage Peppers. Frank also leaves behind two grandchildren who brought joy to his later years. His sister, Helen Savage Jackson, and several nieces and nephews—James D. (Shirley) Jackson, Ryley C. Jackson, William Hillis Jackson, and Jennifer Wise—are among his loved family. There are also several great nieces and nephews who remember him fondly.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Savage, as well as his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Messer, and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William D. Savage. He also mourned the loss of his nephew William E. Jackson.
A graveside service to honor Frank will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Farmington Cemetery, located on Old Farmington Road in Watkinsville, Georgia.
