Francine Smith

Francine “Granny” Smith, age 78, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026. She was born on June 14, 1947 to the late Dolphus and Katie Streetman.

Francine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed cooking for her family, attending auctions, and spending time working word puzzles. She especially loved hydrangeas, which reflected her gentle spirit and appreciation for simple beauty.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Robert Smith; and her sister, Dorothy Self.

Francine is survived by her son, Johnny (Lynn) Streetman; brothers, Roger Streetman, Lee Streetman, Roy Streetman, and Ricky Streetman; grandchildren, Cody Brown, Jordan Streetman, Katie Spratlin, Chancey Maxwell, Braden Streetman, Madison Carter, and Lexi Streetman; and her great-grandchildren, Carlie Brown, Addy Spratlin, Knox Spratlin, Lakelynn Spratlin, Heavenlee Ellis, Emmy Maxwell, and Alora Streetman.

Francine will be remembered for her warm heart, her love for family gatherings, and the joy she found in everyday moments. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wills Memorial Hospital.

A service will be held for Mrs. Francine Smith at 2:00 on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Lord and Stephens East (4355 Lexington Rd. Athens GA. 30605) The family will receive friends one hour prior until service time.
