Faye Kilgore, 82, died January 5, 2026.

Born February 9, 1943, in Eastman, GA, she was a daughter of the late J.P. and Viola Mae Harrison Dunn. She graduated from Dodge County High School and Macon University of Cosmetology. Growing up and in later years, Faye enjoyed playing tennis and was a wonderful cook. She was known as Nana to her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Faye was a dedicated member of Alps Road Presbyterian Church for many years.

On December 26, 1964, she married Charles Kilgore while he was a student at the University of Georgia. In addition to her husband of sixty-one years, she is survived by two sons, Greg (Amanda McDaniell) Kilgore of Braselton and Kirby (Cindy) Kilgore; grandchildren, Brooke Kilgore and Justin Kilgore, all of Bishop. Sisters, Shirley (Paul) Thompson and Elaine Moore; brother, Dewayne Dunn; two brothers-in-law, Donald Kilgore and Terry Kilgore; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Alps Road Presbyterian Church with Dr. Robert Bohler officiating. A reception at the church will be held following the service. 

The family to like to thank Faye’s caretaker for several years, Carie Wilson Johnson and Compassus Hospice, specifically, Jasmine, Kathryn, Kristin and Amy for their unwavering attention and care during this time.
