Evelyn Greene (Pace) Yarbrough

Evelyn Pace Greene Yarbrough, 96, of Arnoldsville, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017.
Born in Green River Community in Saluda, NC, she was a daughter of the late Henry P. Pace and Elizabeth Bishop Pace. Mrs. Yarbrough loved the holidays, gardening and shopping. She also enjoyed travelling, and was able to attend Jimmy Carter's Presidential Inauguration in 1977. Most importantly, she loved her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Riley Greene and six siblings.
Survivors include her children, Fran Greene Hayes (Jack R.) and Gary Greene (Brenda); four grandchildren, Wendy Hayes English (Brent), Shawne Hayes, Kristi Greene Hefner (Neil) and Lori Greene Slover and 8 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Temple United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
