Evelyn Joyce Griffiths Harrison was received into her Lord and Savior’s arms on Monday, August 10, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She wore many hats during her lifetime, but her favorites were Mama and Ganma. She loved her Lord, her family and her friends and her church with her whole heart and she was loved by so many.

Evelyn was born January 11, 1945, to Eryl and Marietta McCannon Griffiths. She was a Master Cosmetologist and owned and operated Veribest Styles for over 60 years until she finally retired due to health reasons. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of over 59 years, Don Harrison; two daughters, Melissa (Lisa) Ramey and son in law Dwayne of Comer, GA and Leanna Harrison of Lexington, GA; one sister, Dot Stevens and brother in law, Allen of Lexington, GA; her pride and joy two granddaughters, Gracie Ramey, of Comer, GA and Cheyenne (Shane) Rucinski of Lula, GA; two great grandchildren Ollie Rucinski and Finn Rucinski; she is also survived by her two sister in laws, several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 15, at 2:00 pm at Burt’s United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall at 1:00 until service time and after the service. Flowers will be accepted. Donations can be made to the Burt’s Cemetery Fund.
