Eva Mae Callaway

Eva Mae Callaway, 89, of Winterville passed away on September 15, 2024. Born on September 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Aza Lee Burton and Will Burton.

Eva Mae retired from Reliance Electric after 29 years of service. She spent many years as an active member at Grove Chapel Holliness Church. She loved her grandchildren tremendously and always looked forward to spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lloyd Callaway; sister, Estelle Starnes; brother, Jake “J.T.” Martin.

Survivors include her children, Ken (Lisa) Callaway, Steve Callaway; grandchildren, Chad (Chancey) Callaway, Kalen (Ryan) Bridges; greatgrandchildren, Cade Callaway, Kenley Bridges; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Lord & Stephens, East, Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 3:15 PM at Athens Memory Gardens.
