Emma Ruth Greene Elrod

Emma Ruth Greene Elrod, 92, of Hull passed away on January 4, 2026. Born on March 13, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Irene Minish Greene.

Emma was a member of Hull Baptist Church for 60 years and was very involved with her church community. She retired from AT&T after 20 years of service. In her free time, she could be found reading a good book or cooking a delicious meal for her family. She loved her family and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Elrod; son, Randall Elrod; brothers, Ralph Greene, James Greene, Larry Greene, Ray Greene, Herman Greene, and Curtis Greene; daughter in law, Pat Elrod.

Survivors include her sons, Edward Elrod, David Elrod (Barbara); siblings, Bobby Greene (Pam), Faye Barnett (Billy); grandchildren, Angela Tucker (Matt), Amy Carter, Melanie Woodruff (Nick), Melissa Childers (Cory); ten great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Hull Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow at the church at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Rev. Randy Crowe will be officiating.
