Edna B. Firor

Edna B. Firor, 92, of Athens passed away on August 1, 2023. Born on September 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Luther C. Bridges and Lucile Hall Bridges of Vienna, Ga.

Edna loved cooking and gardening but most of all loved her family. She was a homemaker and always made sure everyone was cared for. She was very active in the community and enjoyed volunteering.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles W. Bartlett; her second husband, David Firor; daughter, Linda Claire Bartlett Cohen; sister, Myrtle Irene Bridges Pate,son-in-law, Stephen McKim.

Survivors include, her sister, Bobbie Ann Mangham; her children, Charles Walton Bartlett (Paula), Susan Marie Bartlett McKim; grandchildren Aram Cohen (Dyana), Jennifer Barros (Jeff), Jonathan Bartlett (Miriam), Rachel Cruz (Andrew), Julia Collins (Bill), Alyssa McKim; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Oconee Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toward Alzheimer's research or a charity of your choice.
