Dwight Len Rice, 56, died January 27, 2011.
Born in Chattanooga, TN, he was the son of Rev. Durrell and Helen Aycock Rice. He was a lifelong resident of this area, was a poultry farmer and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Greshamville.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Kellay Durham Rice; children, Jacklen Brooke Rice, Whitney Parker Rice and Alex Aycock Rice; brother, David Rice; sisters, Miriam Swain and Ann Rice; mother in law, Nancy Durham and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Christian Church with Dr. Franklin Shumake officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Norris, Tim Huff, George Slatton, Michael Tousche, Jesse Christopher and Jay Durham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Peck, Donnie Brown, Chuck Williams, Mac Hayes, Pat Smith, Scott Almand, Kenneth Peck and Greg Peck.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Grady Burn Unit, 80 Jesse Hill Jr. Drive SE, Atlanta, GA 30303 or Antioch Youth Group at Antioch Christian Church.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
