Doyle Lee Wages, 91, died on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

He was born on May 28, 1934 to the late Robert H. Wages, Sr. and Mary O'Kelley Wages in Clarke County, Georgia. Doyle was a 1953 graduate of University High School and he was a Veteran of the United States Army Reserves. He retired in 1996 from Christian Roofing and Remodeling. Doyle was an avid fan of NASCAR racing, Georgia football and he loved camping and fishing with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Wages and Paul "Buddy" Wages and his sisters, Lena Helen Stewart and Betty Marcus. 

He was married to his wife, Barbara Key Wages, having just celebrated their 70th anniversary on March 2nd. In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Linda Wages and Lamar and Evelyn Wages; grandchildren, Jessica and Bubba Stratton, Natalie and Jon Poole, Jimmy Lee and Anna Wages and Cynthia Wages; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter as well as very dear friends and fishing buddy, Bob and Jenny Clifton and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Maranatha, PO Box 53, Ila, GA 30647 or to Camp Little Light, 227 Little Light Drive, Royston, GA 30662.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
