Dottie Adams Coile, 81, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026.
Born on September 25, 1944 in Danielsville, Georgia, Dottie was the daughter of the late Otha and Vallie Lee Adams. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Danielsville.
Dottie dedicated much of her life to serving her community. She worked as a Program Assistant in the Madison County ASCS office for 30 years , retiring in 1994. She later continued her service with the Madison County Board of Education, first at the high school and then as Madison County District Bus Secretary for 10 years. She also worked at the Madison County Board of Elections and enjoyed working at the law office of Al Stone.
Above all, Dottie found her greatest joy in being “Nanny” to her family. She dearly loved her five grandchildren and one great-grandson and never missed a ballgame or school event whenever possible.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Coile; and three sisters, Bonnie Hall, Wanda Jean Nash, and Elsie Adams.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kim Bartlett (Harley) of Ila, Kelli Dixon (Robbie) of Colbert, and Kristin Coile of Colbert; her grandchildren, Sam Bartlett (Summer) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Eli Dixon of Atlanta, Emily Waring (Matt) of Statham, Jacob Dixon (Sydney) of Hull, and Katie Dixon of Colbert; and her great-grandson, J.T. Bartlett of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church, with Pastor Robby Brown and Jacob Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
