Dorothy Lee Williams

Dorothy Lee Williams, 89, of Athens passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

Born on October 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Darphus Manley and Myrtle Patrick Manley. Dorothy was of Christian faith and was a member at Green Acres Baptist Church. She was a social butterfly who loved to travel, was a great cook, and always had her hair done.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Williams, and her brother, Harold Manley.

Survivors include her children: Sam Williams (Carol), Terry McCarty (Wayne), Susan Crawford (Trent); grandchildren: Tyler Williams, Lauren Williams, Jason McCarty, Josh McCarty, Hayley Scheck, and Brooks Crawford; great-grandchildren: Summer Williams, Leo Williams, Hunter McCarty, Peyton McCarty, Jackson McCarty, and Meyers Scheck; and sister, Pat Finley.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 5, at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Park.
