Dorothy Louise (Threlkeld) Kidd

Dorothy Louise Threlkeld Kidd, wife of the late Allen G. Kidd, died on September 15, 2023.

A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late William Elroy Threlkeld and Elizabeth Harris Threlkeld and sister to the late David Threlkeld, Betty Woods, Jimmy Threlkeld, Rebecca Adams and Mary Ann Dixon. Dorothy retired from Reliance Electric after 24 years and was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her, daughters and sons in law: Patsy and Robert McLocklin of Statham, Pam and Cliff Chambers of Comer, Paula and Keith Callaway of Comer; sister: Vickie Grimes; brother: Greg Threlkeld; grandchildren: Jennifer Standridge, Kara Gaines, Stephanie Hill, Brooke Dixon, Joshua Patat Jeremy Patat, fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 at 1PM at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. William Anglin officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
