Dorothy “Dot” Hardeman Hancock, 96, died on Friday, April 3, 2026 at her residence in Colbert, GA.
Born in Winterville, GA, Dot was the daughter of the late Currell and Ethel Hardeman. She was also preceded in death by her sons in law: Rickey Smith and Joe Koravos, two brothers and three sisters. She worked for Westinghouse as an administrative assistant and was oldest member of Winterville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her three daughters; June Smith, Diane Koravos and Bobbie (Randy) Ray; grandchildren: Dee Smith, Jennifer Throckmorton, Melanie (Lance) Peiper, David (Courtney) Ray, John Williams; great grandchildren: Samantha Smith (Corey) Coker, Kaylee Ray, Averi Hardwick, Kendsey Ray, Bailey Throckmorton, Ethan Vickery, Robert Peiper and great great grandson: Emerson Coker.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 2PM at Lord and Stephens East Chapel with Pastor Blaine Seagraves officiating. Burial will follow at Colbert Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12PM until 2PMprior to the service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Family Hospice and Oconee Area Home Care Service, especially Pam Bond , for their compassion and care shown to Mrs. Dot.
Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Winterville First Baptist Church or the Pat Summitt Foundation .
