Doris S. Carter

Doris S. Carter, 87, of Bishop, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020.

Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Grover Sexton and Corrine Bell Miller Sexton. Mrs. Carter was an active member of Bishop Baptist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors and working with her flowers. Mrs. Carter was employed for over 25 years with the Oconee County School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe W. Carter.

Survivors include her children, Kathy Davis, Sharon Bourne (David) and Barbara Smith (Richard); one sister, Mary Nell Dellinger; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Due to current health regulations, a private graveside will be held. Public memorial services will be announced at a later date.
