Ray was a devout Christian and was foremost a man of strong conviction to his faith-a dedicated member of Life Church of Athens, and to his family and friends. His heart was as big and tender as any that you could have known. He loved playing Santa at Christmas, playing Petanque' (sort-of like lawn bowling but better), shooting precision targets, diving around sharks, NASCAR, the Georgia Bulldogs, and recently creating a bog garden of carnivorous plants. He was a man of many interests and talents.

Ray has been the best part of my life for the past 15 years. His last words were of love and the happiness we had with each other. I know we will be together again someday. - His loving wife, Debbie.
