Mary Dianne McElheney, 70, wife of the late Elton McElheney, went home to be with her Savior Good Friday, March 29, 2013.
A native of McRae, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Lois Wyley Smith. She was a homemaker and member of Oconee Heights Baptist Church. Dianne was a kind and generous woman who leaves a legacy of love and forgiveness.
Survivors include her children: Jeff (Jill) McElheney of Winterville, Jill (Rob) Woolery of Athens, Julie (Michael) Jones of Jefferson, Jamie McElheney of Athens; siblings: Jerry Smith, Ray Smith, Karen Clements and Greg Smith all of Eastman; grandchildren: Jordan, Jessicah, Jarrett, Jennah and Jonah McElheney, Jake and Max Woolery, Tully Jones and one great grandson, Carter Sanz.
A memorial service will be held at Oconee Heights Baptist Church in Athens Sunday, April 7 at 2:30.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holt International, Samaritan's Purse or Oconee Heights Baptist Church.
Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements.
