Danielsville - Dezzie Mae "MaMa Dezzie" Martin Mann, 96, passed away May 30, 2005.
A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late John and Verbie Patten Martin and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest T. Mann and their son, Jack Martin. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Retha Lord and four brothers, Calvin, Dewey, Albert and Cleo Martin. Mrs. Mann was one of the oldest living members of Danielsville Baptist Church, where she was a longtime Sunday School teacher.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Rev. Hilton Purvis will officiate. Interment will be in Old Danielsville Cemetery.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Edwin E. Mann and Carolyn Hilley Mann; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Carole Mann Russum and William Russum, all of Danielsville; sister, Margie Nation of Crawford; brother, Wyatt Martin of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren, Allen Russum, Steve (Susan) Russum, Marty Mann, Morris Mann and Jason Mann; great-grandchildren, Jackson Russum, Clayton Russum and Dylan Mann.
Pallbearers will be Steve Russum, Clayton Russum, Jackson Russum, Jerald Cleghorne, Charles Temple, Eugene Green and Jimmy Porterfield.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
