Dennis Delanor Lord

Mr. Dennis Delanor Lord, 72, passed away November 13, 2025.

A native of Athens, GA, he was a son of the late Doris Mae Hill and Franklin Delanor Lord and was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Carbie and David Epps.

Dennis was a member of Edwards Chapel Baptist Church of Athens and was a carpenter. He enjoyed his craft of woodworking and loved his family and especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Lawanda Kay Lord; four children, Daniel (Chanda) Lord, Casey Haley, Aaron (Amber) Lord and Matthew (Alyssa) Lord; four stepchildren, Yoshika Kelley, Bryant Grant, Marcus Grant and Ashley Grant; twenty-four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST. The family will receive friends beginning at 4pm at the funeral home.
