Dennis M. Bosquet

Dennis Michael Bosquet of Athens, GA, passed away July 10, 2026. He was born in Richmond, VA to the late Arlington Leo and Sally Carter Bosquet.

A graduate of The University of Georgia, he taught high school History, AP History, Economics, and AP Economics at Clarke Central High School in Athens for 30 years. After retiring from Clarke Central, he spent another 15 years as an adjunct professor at Truett-McConnell University, University of North Georgia, and Athens Technical College completing a total of 45 years, inspiring countless students along the way.

He was a 56 year member of Campus View Church of Christ, where he was a Deacon and taught bible classes for many years. He was a baseball coach for his sons’ teams, an avid reader, and a collector of stamps, coins, comic books, and baseball cards.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon, son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kristina Bosquet, of Athens, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Shayna Bosquet, of Spring Hill, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cam Bosquet, of Watkinsville, GA; brother Thomas Bosquet of Palmyra, VA, eight grandchildren: Chandler, Reagan, Ainsley, Preston, Kourtney, Samantha, Meghan, Levi and one great grandchild, Beau.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Campus View Church of Christ in Athens. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 in the foyer of the church.
