David Fayette McElhannon, 42, died May 15, 2016.
A longtime resident of Athens, GA, David was living in Houston, TX, where he was a pilot with United Airlines. He was a graduate of Cedar Shoals High School, Furman University and Georgia Tech.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his father, Dr. Fayette McElhannon of Athens; mother, Mary Ethel McElhannon of Athens; two children, Andrew Beck McElhannon and Carolyn Grace McElhannon; two brothers, Dr. Thomas Andrew McElhannon of Athens and John Joseph McElhannon of Athens; sister, Dr. Rebecca M. Panuski of Davidson, NC.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
