With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Danny Lee Lord a devoted husband, loving father, cherished papa, brother, and faithful friend. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 29, 2025 surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. Danny lived a life rooted in faith, music, and service. A proud Christian, he found great joy in playing the piano and singing—often filling his home and heart with music that uplifted and comforted all who heard it. His deep love for God shone through not only in his singing but in the way he treated others—with compassion, grace, and kindness. As a husband, he was deeply loving and loyal; as a father and papa, he was present, encouraging, and endlessly proud; as a brother he was there for his sisters. His sense of humor, quick with a clever joke kept everyone smiling. His legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. For many years, Danny dedicated his professional life to caring for others, working in long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. He treated residents and their families with dignity and warmth, often becoming a trusted companion and source of strength during both everyday moments and difficult times. He truly loved those he served and was deeply loved in return. Above all, Danny was a family man. He was a pillar of strength and gentleness to his wife, a guiding light to his children, and a source of joy and stories to his grandchildren. Whether sharing a quiet evening, a hymn at the piano, or a simple laugh, his presence brought peace and belonging. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and love—an example of a life well-lived and a soul well-prepared. Though we mourn his passing, we rejoice in knowing he is now at peace, welcomed into eternity by the God he so faithfully followed. He is survived by his wife Pattie, children Crystal (Randy), Hannah, grandchildren Marlee, Joslyn, Slayde and Sutton, sisters Debra (Terry) and Amanda (Ray), best friends Randy and Poozie Hart, adoptive mother, Sallie Bowen and a wide circle of friends who will forever cherish his memory. Services will be held at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 2PM. The family will receive friends from 12PM until 2PM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Activity Funds of The Gables or Comer Heath and Rehab, in honor of Danny’s lifelong commitment to caring for others. Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com
