Curtis Glenn Phillips, a devoted minister and cherished family man, passed away on March 1, 2026, in Danielsville, Georgia, at the age of 62.
Born on August 12, 1963, in Greenville, Alabama, Curtis dedicated over 40 years of his life to ministry, traveling across the Southeast to share his unwavering faith and love for Jesus Christ. Known for his deep voice and passion for connecting with others, he touched countless lives with his kindness and wisdom. His love for people, especially his family, was evident in every aspect of his life. He is remembered fondly not only for his spiritual guidance but also for his ability to brighten a room with his genuine warmth and friendliness.
Curtis leaves behind a loving family that includes his devoted wife of 38 years, Lynn Phillips, and their beloved children, Hannah Hakeem (married to Dave) and Joel Phillips (married to Amber). He cherished his role as a grandfather to David Ely, Josiah, Carlin, Aubriella, and Mackenzie, who brought immense joy and pride into his life. Curtis is also survived by his siblings: Carlton Phillips, Calvin Phillips, Clifton Phillips, Rosa Lee Skeen, Ruby Deutschendorf, and Regina Russell. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews who admired their uncle for his mentorship and kindness. Their family dog, Gracie, was also a source of joy in his life.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Ely and Betty Phillips, and his siblings, Conrad Phillips, Rachel Hammond, and Rita Heisler.
Visitation will take place on March 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes in Danielsville, Georgia. A funeral service in honor of Curtis will be held the following day, March 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Bethel Holiness Church in Danielsville, Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyle Preskitt, Kyle Preskitt, Jr., Wyatt Dyer, Scott Alexander, Brandon Meadows, John Burnett, Charles Burkhalter, Mitchell Stephens and honorary pallbearers, Carlton Phillips, Calvin Phillips and Clifton Phillips.
Curtis Glenn Phillips leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication, impacting everyone fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends as they remember the profound way he lived his life in service to others.
