Cora Hicks Moore

Cora Hicks Moore, 87, of Crawford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, she was the daughter of James Millard Hicks and Willie Beatrice Poindexter Hicks. Mrs. Moore retired from Bellsouth/ATT after more than 33 years of employment. She enjoyed playing BINGO and going out to eat. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Moore, Sr.; daughter, Jennifer Moore and brother, Jerry Hicks.

Survivors include her children, Robin Moore Johnston (Edwin) of Newborn, GA, Stephanie Moore Willcox (Hugh) and Ginger Moore Rollins, all of Winterville, Karla Moore Duke (Randy) of Madison and Frank E. Moore, Jr. (Lisa) of Crawford; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chuck Gabriel, David Mock, Tim Robison, Eythan Franklin, Justin Parker and Chase Williamson. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 until 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
