Connie Lenora Towe

Connie Lenora Towe, 79, of Whitehall, Ga., passed away on January 8, 2026

Born in Oconee County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late William R. Scoggins and Alliefair L. Scoggins. Connie loved and dedicated over twenty years of her life to the University of Georgia, she started with the physical plant department and ended at Stegeman Coliseum. In her free time, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, being outdoors, watching any UGA game, especially the lady dawgs and was an avid softball player for the Athens ladies league in her younger years, but nothing was more important than time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Janet Thrasher (Mike), sons Jason Towe (Elizabeth), and Andrew Towe, as well as ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Connie is proceeded in death by her husband James Otis Towe

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 6 PM To 8PM at Lord & Stephens East, 4355 Lexington Rd. Athens, Ga. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM, Lord & Stephens East. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Rev. Darrell Gilmer and Rev. Jimmy Edwards officiating with Mrs. Linda Gilmer on Piano.
