Clyde Merrill Haas

Dr. Clyde Merrill Haas, 85, husband of Barbara Betts Haas, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Born in Painesville Ohio, he was the son of the late James Lionel and Evelyn Cramer Haas.  Mr. Haas served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He was a chemical engineer for several pharmaceutical and agricultural companies throughout his professional career and briefly was a professor at the University of Alabama.  Survivors in addition to his wife include three children: Mark (Kay) Haas of Northport, AL, Allen (Beth) Haas of Bishop, GA and Jean (Earl) Wells of Huntsville, AL; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Interment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
