Athens - Claudette M. Darrell, 68, wife of the late James Wells, died Thursday, July 7, 2005 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Darrell was born in New York, September 3, 1936. She was a retired registered nurse from St. Maryís Hospital where she worked as a charge nurse. She was a foster grandmother at 4th Street Elementary school.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Watson; sons, Joseph Watson, Jeffrey Darrell, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 11, 2005 from 3 to 5 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Almost Home, Athens Area Homeless Shelter, 620 Barber Street, Athens, GA 30601.
