Mrs. Clara Dove Kidd Wallace, age 82, peacefully departed from this world on Thursday, January 25th, 2024, at her home in Winder, Georgia. She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and unforgettable moments.

Born in Oconee County, Georgia, Clara was the daughter of the late Hubert Willie and Louise Margaret Franklin Dove. Her journey through life was marked by dedication and hard work. Clara spent a significant part of her career as a coil winder at the Athens Plant of Westinghouse Electric, where her commitment and skills were valued by co-workers and friends alike.

Clara was preceded in death by her first husband John E. Kidd, Sr. of Whitmire, SC, and husband Otis R. Wallace of Winder, GA, sister, Shirley Elam of Iva, SC, and is survived by her brother, James Jerry Dove of Winder, GA. She is also survived by her loving children: Rickey Kidd (Debbie) of Watkinsville, GA; John Kidd, Jr. (Dr. Jojie) of Denver, CO; and Dalanda Kidd (John Barnes) of Winterville, GA.

Clara's devotion to her family was unwavering, and she was a pillar of strength and love for her children throughout her life. Her legacy extends through her beloved grandchildren: Kandice, Danielle, Katherine, John III, Austin, Kristen, and Jourdan. Clara's heart swelled with pride and joy as she watched her grandchildren grow and thrive. Additionally, she leaves behind great-grandchildren who were the apple of her eye.

Clara Dove Kidd Wallace will be remembered not only for her hard work and dedication but also for her kindness, generosity, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service to celebrate Clara's life will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 7:00 PM Lord and Stephens, WEST, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677.  The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 PM. Interment will follow at Whitmire Cemetery at a date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity in her honor.
