Charles Steven Alewine, “Steve”, 72, of Watkinsville, passed away on August 5, 2025.

Born on December 6, 1952, he was the son of the late S.T. Alewine and Peggy Marie Daniel Alewine.

One of his proudest accomplishments was his involvement as a youth sports coach in Athens and Oconee County, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of many young athletes. He will be remembered for his deep, thoughtful nature, which was always complemented by his good sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cali Ross; and sister-in-law, Polly Alewine.
