Charles Joseph Rudolf, 70, passed away on December 27, 2025.

Charles was a devoted, loving, and cherished father and husband, known for his kind nature and the steady way he moved through life. He spoke thoughtfully and showed patience with others. Those who knew him remember him as kindhearted, steady, and dependable.

Born on August 18, 1955, Charles grew up in Quincy, Massachusetts, where he developed a strong work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life. A welder by trade, he began his career at the Quincy City Shipyard before spending more than 20 years with Commercial Sheet Metal in Canton, Massachusetts. After relocating to Georgia, he worked for approximately 15 years at Carrier Transicold, where he retired happily six years ago. He took pride in his work and was well respected as an accomplished associate welder.

Charles was nostalgic by nature and had a deep love for music from the 1970s, often enjoying the familiar songs that brought back memories of earlier days. He also had a quirky sense of humor that brought smiles and laughter to those around him. He found joy on the water, spending time at the lake on his boat, which he took great pride in.

Charles created lasting memories that his children still talk about today. These memories included weekend outdoor adventures and the forever-cherished “dad stories” — stories he shared with his children about his own childhood, told with warmth and care.

Charles made his home in Arnoldsville, Georgia. He is survived by his loving wife, Melanie Rudolf; his children, Jennifer Colleen Beasley, Melissa Ann Rudolf, and Charles Joseph Rudolf II; his grandchildren, Alex Buriles, Silas Barbaree, Madisson Rudolf, CJ Rudolf, Jasey Rudolf, and Marlie Rudolf; and his siblings, Robin Ravida, Robert Rudolf, Cynthia Diaute, Timothy Rudolf, Sarah Boucher, and Barbara Rudolf. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Vecchiola.

Charles will be deeply missed and cherished in his family’s hearts forever.

Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, has been entrusted with arrangements.
