Charles Winfred Beck

Charles Winfred “Wimp” Beck passed away in his home on October 10, 2023.  He was born on May 14, 1939, and was a lifelong Athens resident.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Annette S. Beck, and his parents, Claude and Francine Beck.  He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Mann (Clayton), two sisters, Marie Richards and Pat Sewell (Buzz), and two brothers, Claude Beck and Sammy Beck, sister-in-law Peggy Basham (James), as well as beloved nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Harry Beck and his sister, Frances Adams.
During his lifetime, Wimp wore many hats, including mechanic, poultry farmer and builder, but he was most proud of his family and his dogs.
Per his wishes, there will be no service, but rather, remember him with fondness.
