Charles Raymond Bass

On Thursday, March 9th Charles “Charlie” Raymond Bass (83), a good and faithful servant, went home to be with the King.

A proud US Army veteran, and husband of 61 years to Bettie Marie Bass (Greer), Charlie was a lover of many things in his life. He loved his children and grandchildren: Donita McCormick (Summer and Alex), Randy Bass (Justin, Audra and Kayla), Chris Bass (Isaiah and Ethan) and Eva Bishop (Colton and Campden); his great-grandchildren: Casey Marie, Burton, Abagail, and Garrett, and his daughters and son-in-laws: Jeff, Lorrie, Kathy, Kishon, and Matt.

Charlie will forever be known for his love of his brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, an abundance of friends (he never met a stranger), the Andy Griffith show, fishing, gravy and biscuits, basketball, and most of all, the Georgia Bulldogs (Go Dawgs!).

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Private graveside services will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
