Carolyn S. Carter, 89, of Athens, died June 23, 2005.
A native of Athens, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Mattie Bunch Sayer and widow of James Farris Carter. Mrs. Carter founded and operated Carolyn's Flowers for a number of years. She was an active member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 26, 2005 at 3:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST. Private burial will be at Oconee Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy Carter; granddaughter, Jill (John) Joiner; grandson, Jeff (Susanne) Carter and 4 great grandchildren, Clay, Carter, Allie and Jake.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.
