Carole Barrett Ferguson

Carole Barrett Ferguson, 83, died August 18, 2026.

Born in Athens, she was a daughter of the late Coile and Willie Mae Roberts Barrett, widow of Larry Ferguson and was also preceded in death by her brother, W.C. Barrett, sister, Betty O’Kelley and nephew, Michael O’Kelley. Carole was a lifelong resident of this area and was retired from the University of Georgia Registrars Office with 25 years of service. She was a member of Bogart United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Services honoring the life of Carole begin at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Rev. Craig Topple will officiate and remarks will be by nieces, Lisa Barrett and Leslie Jones. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Ronny Kittle of Statham; grandsons, Zachary Kittle and his wife Jackie and Judson Kittle and his wife Lauren; granddaughter, Madison Kittle; great grandchildren, Atlas Kittle and Corrine Kittle; her beloved dogs, Emma Grace and Patches and nieces and nephews, Lisa Barnett, Melodi Bennett (Eddie), Leslie Jones (Frank) and Bryan Barrett.
