Carbie Lord Epps

Watkinsville, GA

Carbie Diane Epps, wife of the late David Michael Epps, died on January 16, 2024 at her residence. Born in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Delanor Lord and Doris Mae Hill Lord. Carbie had worked at Bell’s Grocery Store as an assistant manager in the Five Points area and at the Naval Commissary for the Navy School years ago.  She also worked as a caretaker through the years, finding great joy in helping others and those she cared for loved her dearly. She loved taking care of her dogs and had many through the years that she loved and adored.  When she wasn’t working she enjoyed spending time in the North Georgia Mountains and had a booth at the Rabun Flea Market. Survivors include her brother; Dennis (Kay) Lord; nieces and nephews: Daniel (Chanda) Lord, Casey Lord Haley, Aaron (Amber) Lord and Matthew (Alyssa) Lord; fifteen great nieces and nephews and three great great nieces and nephews. A service celebrating Carbie’s life will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Union Christian Church at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oconee County Animal Shelter.
